The mission of the Honorary Consulate General office is to promote cultural, economical, educational development between the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Indonesia.
The Honorary Consulate General aims to protect the interests and rights of the Latvian citizens and subjects in Indonesia, and as well to increase the awareness about Latvia, its culture, economy and education to Indonesian general public for further strengthening the relationship between Indonesians and Latvians.
The office of Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Latvia in Jakarta was established in December 2007 with the appointment of Ayub Junus as the Honorary Consul.
In 2018, Latvia celebrates a hundred years since it became an independent state. With festivities at home and all around the world in the period of 2017 to 2021, Latvia will present the best it has to offer in culture, lifestyle and innovation.
